Premier of the Turks and Caicos Islands announced today the complete reopening of the local economy is scheduled for July 6, 2020, and the International Airport will be open for international travelers on July 22, 2020.

The measures taken up to this point in the TCI has allowed us to flatten the curve and slow the spread of Covid-19 throughout the Islands. 

Steps taken to safeguard all including our guests and tourists are:

  • Building of critical medical capacity by securing additional manpower
  •  In country testing abilities
  • The procuring of critical equipment
  • The critical infrastructural upgrades to the hospital and
  • The procurements of critical personal protective equipment 

Additionally, the Airports Authority announced travel protocols to be implemented for the reopening of the airport and are:

  • The wearing of face masks by all staff and persons who seeks to receive services at the airport,
  • The implementation of 6 ft. social distancing,
  • The repositioning of Immigration Booths and the addition to guard shields, and
  • The placement of hand sanitizer stations around the airport.
